PicMonkey Photo Edits

I am not a huge Halloween fan because I get scared super easily and I hate horror movies. I get scared by the kids Goosebumps movies... Besides avoiding being spooked on Halloween I love to carve pumpkins and go Trick-or-treating with my friend’s young cousin. I have spent the last few years going over to my friend’s house and hanging out with my long-lost family. Not a lot of kids go to my house to trick-or-treat because of the location so I love to go to my friend’s house to see all the little kids' costumes. One year I dressed up in a blimp suit where it blows itself up and it was my all-time favorite costume. Not only was it fun to wear, I looked hilarious when walking and jumping. Halloween is not my favorite holiday but I don't absolutely hate it. 

Adobe Spark Review

I mildly enjoyed using Adobe Spark and I would give it a 4 out of 5 start review. This website has a lot of nice features and is very fun to experiment with. I don't like how Adobe Spark is kind of hard to teach yourself how to use it. Although the many features are cool, its hard to figure out how to work each of them. Also choosing the right photos to have a clear picture was annoying. Most of the pictures I took off the internet were too small and when inserted into Adobe Spark were very blurry and low quality. I don't think I will ever use this again unless it is assigned again.

App Highlight: Calm

Calm is an app that helps with calming anxiety, falling asleep, and relaxing exercises. It as a free app that many people have said that it helped them feel more present and more relaxed. This can help a lot of students that get anxiety throughout the day or students who have trouble falling asleep at night. I don't think I need this app because I don't get anxiety very often and I can easily relax myself without instruction. I do think this app might be fun to play around with later to explore all of the features.

The Person I admire Most

I really admire my mother because she is the most amazing person I know. She has been through a lot with personal life and with business. My mother always knows what to do and how to fix things when something has gone wrong. She is such a nice person and almost never has anything rude or sassy to say. I kind of wish I had my mothers traits because being as awesome as she is would be super cool.

Collaborating Remotely Reflection

Me and my partner used Google Slides and Evernote to communicate and create our presentation. Both applications were easy to use and we didn't have any trouble while making our presentation. I would definitely use both of these applications again because of how easy they were to use and I can create things quickly and have it look nice and professional. Me and my partners topic was the top 10 vacation spots. This was a pretty easy topic and we just assigned who found and inserted photos to the slides and then the other person would find the information. I think the most difficult part about this project was trying to choose a topic and deciding formatting things. I think this sort of stuff works best if one person decides the formatting and the other ]person just rolls with it and then there won't be any communication error with the looks of the presentation. Overall this was a challenging project to complete but it was a lot of fun once we got going on the presentation.

App Highlight: Mint

Mint is a free app that easily tracks how and when you spend your money. It records when you need to pay certain bill and how much. It also creates budgets that you can stick to. Mint makes money management simpler and easy. It brings together your bank accounts, credit cards, bills, and investments, all in one place. It looks like an app that would been fantastic for someone who is very unorganized or loses track of many things quickly. I don't think I would use this now because I don't have a lot of finances that I need to take care of but maybe when I'm older.

Info-Graphics Review

I used Pikto-chart to create my Info-graphic. I liked using this website because it was very easy to use and I did not need to watch a tutorial video on how to use it. I would give Pikto-chart and 5 out of 5 star rating. I didn't experience any issues when I was using it. It had very nice design and formatting features. If I had a reason to use this website again, I would.

Dream Vacation

My dream vacation is to go to Iceland. I haven't heard a lot about it but I know you can see the Northern Lights and I've always wanted to see them. Some of the photos I've seen of the National Parks are really beautiful and they would be a fantastic place to take nice photos. The main reason why I want to go to Iceland is because of the landscape. I know if i did go I would be very spooked by the food because I have a very closed mind when it comes to trying new foods and I have absolutely no idea what food is there.

Introduction to Infographics

An infographic is a visual way to convey information. They contain factual evidence and are often appealing to the eye if done correctly. Some people are visual learners so an infographic is a way for those kind of people to understand the message clearly. In class you could use inforgraphics to prove a statement or to inform the class on a specific topic.

App Highlight: MyHomework

MyHomework is an electronic planner to keep track of all of your homework and tests. This app could be useful to students because many students do not use their planners and forget about a lot of assignments and tests. The app gives reminders to let you know you have an upcoming assignment that is due or that you should be studying for a test. I probably will not download this app because I am one of the few students who actually use their planner and I have no need for another assignment tracking device.

Evernote

I would give Evernote a 5 star rating. Evernote is a note taking website that you can create folders, notes, and reminders on. It is very useful and I would love to use it more often. The only reason why I do not use it in all of my other classes is because I am a really slow key board typer and I would fall behind on notes easily and I don't like carrying around my laptop. I highly recommend using Evernote if you are a fast typer and don't misspell every work like I do.  I really enjoyed using it because it was very easy to navigate and simple in use.

Moment and Space Update

Space did not work on my phone because I didn't keep the app open and it needed to be open to record screen time. Moment did work and I was honestly surprised by the results. Not because the times were high, I'm surprised because they were low times. My average time was about three hours a day. I expected that I would have a higher average time. I am on my phone a lot but I guess I'm only on it for very short periods of time. The times over the weekend were a lot longer because I have a lot more time to do nothing on Saturday and Sunday. I forgot that these apps were on my phone so I didn't think about them a lot when using my phone. I might keep Moment on my phone because it works and when I remember it exists I do get interested on how long I have been on my phone.
