App Highlights: Moment and Space
In Space it has you personalize what you do on your phone and why. Then it gives you recommended goals to limit your phone usage. Both Moment and Space track how long you are on your phone/ how many times you unlock your phone and they give you notifications if you are on your phone for too long at one time. In Moment, it has a coach to help you get used to not being on your phone all day. I think the apps might actually help me because I am on my phone constantly for communication and entertainment. I will be interested to see what it does throughout this week.

My Digital Life
A "Digital Footprint" is a representation of all of the places on the internet where you have been. Mainly on social media sites.
Digital Citizenship is when a person utilizes information from technology in order to engage in society. These people use social and searching platforms often to get through their daily life.

Connect, But Alone?
The TED talk "Connected, But Alone?" by Sherry Turkle, explains how in today's society, people rely on their technology more than they do people. Turkle showed that many kids these days do not understand the importance of real conversation and how kids would rather text than talk to someone in person. She also brought up how when people are online they change themselves. I personally agree with Sherry. I think that many people are constantly way too involved with their devices and do not get enough experience with real conversation. I will admit I can only go a maximum of 2-3 hours without my phone. My phone is the only way of communicating with a lot of my friends because they either don't go to my school or I have zero classes with them. When I hang out with friends outside of school, I am off my phone the major part of the time. When I'm not on my phone, I am usually with friends, sleeping, doing homework, or rehearsing. I honestly don't like living in the "digital age" because I hate how much I rely on my phone for a lot of my communication, although I am also glad that I live in this age because it gives me a lot of resources to talk to people. Personally I would rather text than hold a conversation because in text you can easily end a conversation but while being physically present and conversing, I feel like I need to continue the conversation and it gets awkward at some point when I run out of things to talk about. When I'm online, I don't think I "edit" myself. I don't really believe in being fake to put it simply. I do feel that we are connected, but alone. I see many friend groups or families who are together but they are all on their phones, and I know of a few people who are very active online but in real life they are a totally different person and don't have real people who they talk to constantly. My biggest take away from Sherry Turkle's TED talk was that many people rely too much on their phones, even if they think they don't, they probably do.

App Highlight: Padlet
I have never used Padlet or even heard of it. It looks like a way to share photos, documents, and videos with friends that you can invite. It seems to make it very easy to collaborate with a lot of people at once. Padlet can be downloaded on any device and all forms of file types are accessible from it which is very neat. We can use Padlet to share some of our class projects with each other. We could also use it to share any information if people have questions and need to contact other classmates easily.

Dream Business Reflection
For this project I used Canva because it has a lot of templates and other things I can customize easily. My dream business is called Take Five Coffee + Bar. I chose this because a few years ago my mom owned the real Take Five but she had to close it after 5 or 6 years. My dream used to be a co-owner/ manager of Take Five with my mom. So after it closed down that dream was put to rest. My business will be located anywhere convenient. Possibly near a school so kids can go there after school and do homework or near a corporate office so all the office workers can grab a coffee and breakfast before they sit at a desk all day. Within Take Five, we will sell: coffee, fountain drinks, tea, smoothies, shakes for the drinks. For food we will have cinnamon rolls, cookies, and other small pastry things along with sandwiches, pita and hummus, and granola bars. Every Friday and Saturday evening there will be live jazz. I think if I was able to re-open Take Five for real I would and it would be a big hit just like it was a few years ago.

My Weekend
Over this weekend I went up to KU to eat breakfast with my brother. It was really fun because he took me and my parents all around campus on a mini tour and we got to see the marching band warm up then line up for the game. When we got home later that day I went on a 3 mile run. I also helped my dad fix my car, so its running nicely now. I got all my homework done which is very good. After that I sat in my room and watched Netflix for the rest of the day.

Lucidpress Review
I give Lucidpress a 4 out of a 5 star rating. Like Canva, it is an easy site to use and has very nice features. Many of the templates and examples they had were very appealing and gave a nice inspiration for someone who may be at a loss for creativity. Something I did not like, was when I was trying to insert photos. I did not find a way to access my personal files to choose a photo from that. There seemed to only be the Lucidpress account files. Also, the Bing search option had a very limited amount of photos. Overall, Lucidpress is a very good website to make posters and magazine type things. I will probably not use this site again but I will keep it in mind the next time I need to make a poster.

Canva Review
I would give Canva a 4.5 out of a 5 star rating. It is easy to use and leaves a lot of room for personal creations. I like how it has a lot of templates that you can look at. Those give some inspiration that somebody may need. You could use Canva for any sort of invitation, sign, poster, etc. and that makes it extra neat. One thing that I did not like is how if you are a first time user, it doesn't have much of a "tutorial". Canva leaves you to yourself to figure out how it works which can be tough for some people. Overall using Canva was a good experience and I would definitely use it again.
